Gas prices rise, Elderly fraud, infants exposed to opioids

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” gas prices have surged more than 50 cents since the start of the Iran attack. The Arizona average stands at $4.17 per gallon, making Arizona one of the most expensive states in the country to fill up. We sit down with John Treanor, a spokesperson of AAA Mountain West, to learn more.

Next, we discuss how elderly fraud continues to grow. Guest Brian Watson, a community outreach specialist from R.O.S.E., sits down with “Arizona Horizon” to talk more about educating seniors on how to avoid financial scams.

Finally, Tara Sundem, the co-founder and executive director of the Hushabye Nursery, shares more about how the opioid crisis affects babies and how the nursery provides care. The 12-bed facility has treated over 1,150 babies, and their families, since opening in November 2020.
