Arizona released its voters’ agenda with new statewide priorities earning support across political affiliations.
The agenda provides a rundown of what Arizona voters want leaders to address, such as affordability, housing, water, education, immigration and elections.
Dr. Sybil Francis, President and CEO of Center for the Future of Arizona (CFA), joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss the desires of Arizona voters and what to expect in the future.
Francis said nearly 90% of Arizonans agreed the affordability and the cost of living was the most important topic they wanted leaders to address.
“This is one of the things that we really focus on is where do we have agreement among Republicans, Democrats and Independents, to be on the voters’ agenda,” Francis said.
Francis said that they are conducting one more survey before the next election. The next survey focuses on communication between leaders and Arizonans.
“There could be some misunderstanding as well about what is going on behind the scenes versus what Arizonans know leaders are doing,” Francis said.
