Discussion with Arizona Congressional District 1 candidate; Proposition 320

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” we heard from a candidate for Arizona Congressional District 1 Jay Feely (R), who discussed affordability, tariffs, tax cuts and more. Amish Shah, the Democratic candidate for the same district, declined to join the conversation.

We were also joined by Matt Beienburg, Director of Education Policy at the Goldwater Institute, and Jimmy Arwood, Director Of Governmental Relations for the Arizona School Boards Association active with Save our Schools Arizona, who discussed Proposition 320. The measure would require school districts with more than 7,500 students, or in counties with a population larger than 500,000, to spend at least 60% of their budget on direct instructional expenses.
