Proposition 316; study finds sleep affects relationships; Friendship Village

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” Arizona State Representative Leo Biasiucci (R), discussed Proposition 316 and the affect it would have on grocery prices. The proposition would keep cities from increasing the sales tax on groceries above 2% of the base price.

We also heard from Dr. Christopher Neck, Professor at the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU, who discussed how everyday habits like sleep can affect relationships. New research at Arizona State University and the University of San Diego shows habits such as sleep, physical activity and diet play a role in emotional regulation and communication.

Finally, Cole Marvin, Executive Director at Friendship Village, and Diane Delaney, a Friendship Village Resident and artist, discussed the community’s plans to offer an assortment of new art programs. Some of the new additions will include a weaving studio, performance auditorium, pottery studio and more.
