Earlier in September 2026, the White House banned press coverage from news outlets CNN, MS NOW and Politico. The ban was quickly reversed by a federal judge, but despite the restored access, the journalists still had trouble with admittance. The three news outlets have now asked for an immediate hearing to address the continued ban.
CNN is still facing difficulty, but MS NOW and Politico journalists have been allowed to return.
