According to a U.S. Department of Agriculture study, 14 percent of Arizonans live in a food desert – typically a low-income area where people living there don’t have a grocery store within a mile of their home. Jon Ford, communications director for St. Luke’s Health Initiatives, talks about what his organization is doing to make healthier food choices available to neighborhoods.
