Arizona PBS promotes three staff members to key leadership positions
Arizona PBS has promoted three staff members to senior leadership roles as the public media outlet looks to fulfill the vision of its strategic plan.
The station promoted Ebonye Delaney to senior director and content officer; Tiffany Khan to senior director and revenue officer; and Marisa Upham to project manager and advisor to the general manager.
These new roles will help Arizona PBS to meet the goals of its 2021-2024 strategic plan, which calls for the station to form deeper connections with its audiences and partners, provide engaging content across multiple platforms, stay ahead of technological advances and diversify its revenue sources.
“Arizona PBS is excited to expand the responsibilities of these three leaders as we look to move forward with our strategic plan. Ebonye, Tiffany and Marisa have done an extraordinary job serving in their previous positions and we’re confident they will play an important role as we look to further engage our audience and the community,” said Arizona PBS General Manager Adrienne Fairwell.
Delaney will be tasked with growing and developing engaging content through diverse and educational programming and solutions-based journalism that embraces Arizona’s uniqueness and has local, national and global appeal. She will also oversee and assist implement the station’s digital strategy to enhance and elevate program offerings on each of the network’s platforms.
Delaney was previously director of digital content and production and has also served as a show director and assistant production manager. She’s worked on many Arizona PBS on-air productions including Arizona Horizon, Horizonte, “Check, Please! Arizona” and PBS NewsHour West, and is an award-winning producer and director. Delaney came to Arizona PBS in February 2017.
Khan was hired by Arizona PBS in April 2019 to serve as director of annual giving, overseeing fundraising, events and viewer services.
As the new senior director and revenue officer, she will oversee the diversification and growth of the station’s revenue by engaging new and existing opportunities while collaborating across the station, Arizona State University and the larger Arizona community. She’s worked in a variety of fundraising roles throughout her 15-year career, including six years in a central role at the ASU Foundation.
Upham has worked at Arizona PBS since April 2019, serving as executive administrative support specialist before her promotion to project manager and advisor to the general manager. In her new role, she will support the general manager in a number of tasks that involve implementation of the station’s strategic plan, creating new processes to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, and reviewing station policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
