Arizona PBS taps Phoenix journalist and digital media personality Kristen Keogh to be new host of ‘Trail Mix’d’

Keogh will host the series’ upcoming third season

Arizona PBS today announced it has selected local journalist and digital media personality Kristen Keogh to serve as the host of “Trail Mix’d,” the station’s half-hour, hiking-focused series, for the show’s upcoming third season. Keogh’s selection comes as Arizona PBS is preparing to start filming season 3 of “Trail Mix’d” later this month.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Kristen to the Arizona PBS family,” said station General Manager Scott Woelfel. “An Arizona native and familiar face for local television audiences here in the Valley, Kristen’s experience connecting with viewers and her passion for the outdoors make her a perfect fit to take over hosting duties for ‘Trail Mix’d.’”

A two-time Emmy® Award-winning broadcast journalist, Keogh has anchored news and weather for local affiliates KSAZ (FOX 10) and KPNX (NBC 12), where she also anchored sports. Keogh also spent a few years as a weather forecaster for KGTV (ABC 10) in San Diego. In addition to her on-air work, Keogh served as the in-arena host for the Arizona Coyotes hockey team for five seasons and previously held the role of press secretary for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. In recent years, she has cultivated community across various digital and social media platforms, connecting with viewers and generating content as an independent creator.
