Treasure Hunters: Hiking at Lake Pleasant

More from this show

“Trail Mix’d” blends adventure with mystery as we go hiking at Lake Pleasant on the Roadrunner Trail and in the Superstition Mountains on the Peralta Canyon Trail.

Inspired by Arizona’s long history of treasure legends and lost fortunes, we explore how stories of hidden riches have drawn hikers, explorers and dreamers into the desert for generations.

The journey introduces viewers to geocaching along the Roadrunner Trail, offering tips on how modern-day treasure hunting uses GPS technology to turn a hike into a quest. Along the way, we learn practical hiking advice, discover scenic viewpoints and unearth opportunities to “seek and find” surprises that make every trail feel like an adventure.
