Daniel O’Donnell and Special Guests

Premiering Saturday, Aug. 21 at 4 p.m.

Filmed in front of a live audience at the Millennium Forum in Derry, Northern Ireland, Daniel O’Donnell returns to PBS performing his favorite songs with special guests Crystal Gayle, Ashley Campbell, Rita Coolidge, the late Charley Pride and many more.

Daniel and Ashley Campbell perform a touching tribute to her father, the late Glen Campbell, with an emotional rendition of his hit “Try a Little Kindness.” Daniel duets with Crystal Gayle on “Wrong Road Again,” one of her best-loved songs and one that has become synonymous with her name. Written by Allen Reynolds in 1974, it was a hit for Gayle in 1974-75 when it reached number six on the Country Billboard charts. And Rita Coolidge and Daniel sing a beautiful version of “Amazing Grace” in three languages, including Cherokee. Daniel and the late great Charley Pride — one of Daniel’s all-time favorite people with whom he recorded many times — perform “Crystal Chandeliers,” one of Charley’s greatest hits.

In addition to the duets, Daniel sings some of his best-known songs and hits that have wooed audiences wherever he has performed, including “I Just Want to Dance With You,” “My Shoes Keep Walking Back to You,” “A Thing Called Love” and “Our House is a Home.”
