Potential shift in Arizona Politics; TimeDone’s Phoenix chapter; Phoenix’s sister city Hermosillo

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” Paul Bentz, Senior Vice President of Research and Strategy at HighGround, Inc., discussed early ballot results from a HighGround poll. The 400 voters signaled the Republican Party may have lost independent voters, as well as Maricopa County, where the majority of Arizona voters reside.

We also heard from Vincent Valenzuela, Arizona Statewide Coordinator at TimeDone, about Arizonans facing problems with housing and employment from low-level and aged criminal records. The newly launched Phoenix Chapter of TimeDone will help advocate for policies to help people wipe their criminal records.

Finally, Oscar De La Salas and Gary Jackson, Co-Chairs of Mayor’s International, talked about Phoenix and Hermosillo, Mexico’s, 50-year anniversary of a sister city partnership. The Mayor’s International celebrates this milestone with the City of Phoenix’s connection to other cities around the world. Their gala brings cultures together for fine dining, cultural exchange and recognition of Phoenix’s leaders.
