‘Poldark’ returns with an encore of its fourth season

“Poldark” returns to Masterpiece with an encore of Season 4 on Sundays night at 7 p.m., beginning June 23, on Arizona PBS. Based on the novels by Winston Graham, the series returns for a fourth season of action-packed episodes, starring Aidan Turner as the roguish Ross Poldark and Eleanor Tomlinson as his fiery partner, Demelza.

Ross has come a long way since he first returned home after the American Revolution. It’s now 1796, and to defend Cornwall and those he loves from an empowered George, Ross must play the political game – a journey that takes him to the nation’s capital and into new perils. George is up to his usual schemes, Dwight makes a devastating diagnosis, Drake and Morwenna still mourn their lost love and Demelza tries to play matchmaker. Through it all, Ross and Demelza must find a way to work through everything that challenges the happiness of their community, their family and their own relationship.
