‘I Hate Jane Austen’ sends British columnist searching to understand

As the author of “Pride & Prejudice” and numerous other classics, Jane Austen is among history’s literary giants. But Giles Coren, a British columnist, can’t stand her writing. Can others convince him he is wrong?

In “I Hate Jane Austen,” airing Monday, Jan. 28, at 9 p.m. on Arizona PBS, journey with Coren to meet academics and superfans to see if they can get him to see another perspective of the legendary author’s own life story and her numerous renowned works.

Can the rest of the world change Coren’s mind?
