Missed a show in the evening? Enjoy some of our highest-rated primetime evening shows earlier in the day during Prime Afternoons each weekday from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Start your month with some of your favorite shows throughout the week!


On Mondays, enjoy “Antiques Roadtrip” at 1:30 p.m. followed by the beloved “Father Brown” at 2:30 p.m. To finish off the evening, check out “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries” at 3:30 p.m. On August 11, don’t miss the pledge event for “America’s Home Cooking” at 1:30 p.m. and “All Creatures Small” at 3:30 p.m. August 18 will feature back-to-back episodes of “Lucy Worsely’s Holmes vs Doyle” starting at 2:30 p.m. 


Tuesdays, travel the country with “Antiques Roadshow” at 1:30 p.m. followed by “Midsomer Murders” at 2:30 p.m. On August 12, enjoy back-to-back episodes and pledge events of “Rick Steves: Fascism in Europe” at 2 p.m. followed by “Rick Steves: Experiencing Europe” at 3:30 p.m. Back-to-back episodes of “Lucy Worsley’s Holmes vs Doyle” will fill in the 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. time slots on August 19.

Wednesdays are for American History. Uncover ancestral histories with “Finding Your Roots” at 1:30 p.m. followed by “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History” at 2:30 p.m. Take a look at American History August 13 with episodes and pledge events for “The American Revolution: An Inside Look” at 1 p.m., “Ken Burns: The Civil War” at 2 p.m. and “Ken Burns: The National Parks” at 3:30 p.m. On August 27, don’t miss “Start Early: The Congress at 2:30 p.m. and “Statue of Liberty” at 4 p.m. 

Thursdays, enjoy back-to-back episodes of “Nature” from 1 to 3 p.m. On August 14, don’t miss out on the pledge event for “The Mustangs: America’s Wild Horses” at 1:30 p.m. and “Walking with Dinosaurs: A Viewer’s Guide” at 3:30 p.m. Back-to-back episodes of “Big Cats 24/7” will fill in the 2 and 3 p.m. time slot on August 21 and 28.

Fridays, wrap up the week with “NOVA” at 1:30 p.m. followed by “Walking with Dinosaurs” at 2:30 p.m. and “NOVA” at 3:30 p.m. On August 8, “Pompeii: The New Dig” at 2 p.m. followed by a pledge event for “Atomic People” at 3 p.m. August 15 will feature pledge events for “Supercharge Your Brain: Maximizing Your Cognitive Abilities” at 1:30 p.m. with “Memory Makeover with Daniel Amen, M.D.” at 3 p.m. End off the week with “NOVA” at 1:30 p.m. followed by “Secrets of the Dead” at 2:30 p.m. and “Tutankhamun: Allies and Enemies” at 3:30 p.m. on August 22 and 29. 

Then at 4:30 p.m., enjoy episodes of the beloved “Rick Steves’ Europe” all month long.
