Finding Your Roots: Finding My Roots

Tuesday, August 19 at 8 p.m.

For more than a decade, renowned Harvard scholar Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr., has helped to expand America’s sense of itself, stimulating a national conversation about identity with humor, wisdom and compassion.

But in this unique and highly emotional episode, actor Laurence Fishburne is joined by Dr. Gates, who finds himself a guest on his own show for the first time.

Both men have been haunted by profound family mysteries for years. Cutting-edge DNA detective work will solve those mysteries, introducing Fishburne and Dr. Gates to ancestors whose names they have longed to hear.
