Recorder Heap’s FBI investigation; data centers affecting housing affordability; Chandler Center for the Arts

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” Kate Brophy McGee, Chair of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, discussed the disagreements between the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and Recorder Justin Heap. Recorder Heap’s FBI investigation into election workers and claims that ballots will be routed through San Diego have been the main issue of the feud.

We also heard from Mark Stapp, Director of the Masters in Real Estate Development at the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU, about AI data centers causing housing prices to increase. Builders are competing with AI companies, driving mortgage rates to their highest level in decades.

Finally, Julianna Crespo, General Manager of Chandler Center for the Arts, talked about its reopening. Their newly renovated arts center now contains new theater seating, upgrades to the stage and new interior finishes.
