Upcoming elections have raised Social Security concerns for older voters

More from this show

The upcoming midterm elections have raised concerns for the older voting demographic surrounding Social Security. The Congressional Budget Office explained that Social Security’s projected spending above its dedicated tax revenues increases the unified federal deficit. Its 2026 analysis estimates this shortfall will be approximately $249 billion in fiscal year 2026.

To provide a well-rounded conversation, Social Security left-leaning voter Judith Simons and right-leaning voter Brian McKew both joined “Arizona Horizon” to share their opinions on this rising concern.
