The Kimberley: Australia’s Wild West – River of Life

Wednesday, June 17 at 9 p.m.

There are around 40 species of frog that we know of in the Kimberley, and a quarter of those are found nowhere else on Earth. Native to the land, Mark Coles Smith records the biodiversity of this region at night to bring the hidden faces to light.

As Smith notes, “I think there are tones and harmonics and textures in nature and in the wilderness that are really unique.”

Each episode of “The Kimberley: Australia’s Wild West,” a three-part series, will be available to stream for free with the PBS App for 30 days starting the night of its broadcast premiere.
