WNBA star Brianna Turner speaks on social injustice

More from this show

WNBA Phoenix Mercury forward, Brianna Turner is using her platform to fight for social justice. This past season Turner was named to the league’s all-rookie team after a stellar college career at Notre Dame. We talk about her fight for equality during these pressing times.

A daughter of two law enforcement parents Turner has seen both sides of the spectrum. Most commonly, she finds herself in talks with her parents about what could be changed to make future generations feel safe.

Turner says, “It’s disappointing when people don’t feel safe around those sworn to protect and serve.” Going forward, she is hopeful that change will happen.

In late June, Turner voiced on Twitter her frustrations with the current system.

Furthermore, Turner is optimistic that things will change with the right resources and information.
