Gallego’s divorce records
Lori Roberts: “We’ve been hearing all year long that Reuben Gallego left his wife in her ninth month of pregnancy. Not a particularly good look, but we’ve known it for quite a long time, and they filed for divorce. The Kari Lake campaign, among others in the Republican Party, has spent all year long talking about what are in his divorce records. His divorce records are sealed, therefore something very bad is in there. ‘The Washington Free Beacon’ sued, filed a public records request, and then ultimately sued to get those records. The Gallegos fought it for months and months and months, contending that it would violate the privacy and safety of their young son. This week the records were unsealed. It was a giant nothing burger.”
Howie Fischer: “I think the judge called it a garden variety divorce, and that was the really interesting thing. Judge Napper said, ‘I handled divorces, and there’s nothing unusual here. There’s the usual spousal maintenance, there’s the usual where do you educate the child.’ He said, ‘Where is the issue here?'”
