‘Western Whiskey’: Starlite BBQ

Starlite BBQ and Whiskey Bar can be found on the corner of Indian School and Miller Road in Scottsdale.  Run by the same team behind the downtown Phoenix eatery Ocotillo, Starlite serves a variety of smoked meat and “elevated sides” with an indoor and outdoor space. “If you look at the barbecue out there, they all have a regional thing and Arizona doesn’t really have a regional thing,” said one of their chefs. “So what we’re going to do is take the best from the regions that are out there and kinds of add a bit of our own twist and a little bit of Arizona influence.”
