‘The Valley on the Culinary Map’: Talavera

More from this show

At the age of 28, Talavera chef Samantha Sanz became the youngest chef to oversee a Four Seasons kitchen.  In 2019, the James Beard Foundation nominated her for the Rising Star Chef of the Year Award.

Sanz was born in Nogales, Mexico, where she was raised in a family-owned restaurant. We sit down with Chef Sanz and her parents to learn more about her life. Sanz also shares her grandfather’s paella recipe with host Mark Tarbell.
