‘Vintage Valley’: Durant’s

More from this show

Durant’s is one of Phoenix’s most historic family-owned restaurants, having just celebrated its 70th anniversary. James E. “Jack” Durant opened the landmark steakhouse in 1950. Durant was a pit boss at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas in the 40s and that Las Vegas vibe definitely influenced the decor.

Mark speaks with Carol McElroy, the daughter of Durant’s business partner, who tells us about the incredible history of this place involving a love affair between two very famous celebrities.
