PHOENIX – (July 29, 2015)

Newman’s Own Foundation will match the dollar amount of all donations made to Arizona PBS by those who sign up for a sustaining membership or for those who increase their sustainer donation during the month of August, up to a total of $50,000.

Sustaining members contribute a monthly donation to Arizona PBS starting at as little as $5 per month and members can change their donation amount at any time. Eight’s sustainers receive a special monthly gift for helping Arizona PBS further its mission to bring quality public broadcasting to its viewers. Those who sign up for a sustaining membership during the month of August will have their first year of donations doubled by Newman’s Own Foundation, thanks to their dedication to protecting and enriching public broadcasting.

“We at Arizona PBS are incredibly touched by the generosity of Newman’s Own Foundation,” said Dana Robling, director of development and marketing for Eight, Arizona PBS. “We hope their considerable commitment will motivate our viewers to support Eight’s quality programming in our local community. We are deeply grateful for the support of Newman’s Own Foundation and our existing sustainers who have continuously supported our passion to deliver high-caliber educational and entertainment programming to all Arizonans.”

Newman’s Own Foundation will also match the donations of existing sustainers who increase their current contributions by at least $5 per month, providing everyone with the opportunity to maximize their support of their favorite PBS programming.

Those who wish to join Newman’s Own Foundation in support of Arizona PBS can become a sustainer, or increase their monthly gifts, by visiting Viewers can also call our sustainer hotline at 844-691-5238 and tell the operator they want the Newman Match.

This challenge follows a successful campaign this spring during which Newman’s Own Foundation contributed $50,000, matching gifts of 2,337 new Arizona PBS members.

Newman’s Own Foundation turns all net profits and royalties from the sale of Newman’s Own products into charitable donations. To date, Paul Newman and Newman’s Own Foundation have given over $400 million to thousands of charities around the world.
