Wickenburg’s Rustic Western Charm

More from this show

About 50 minutes west of Phoenix, you will come upon the community of Wickenburg—a small town with lots of Western character, charm and ambiance.

It’s set in the middle of classic Sonoran desert scenery, mixed with a fair amount of mining history. And a hike or ride along a trail in its backcountry is just minutes from the main street.

Those dirt trails can take you on an instant getaway to get lost in a scenic trek along a desert wash. Or get an adrenaline rush kicking up dust while you speed along in the great wide open.

Those open roads can also lead your inner explorer to an old gold mining site.

Plus, explore an old ghost town that still inspires mystery and curiosity while catching a glimpse of wildlife while walking through the Hassayampa River Preserve.
