On Oct. 27, former U.S. Sens. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., and Tom Daschle, D-S.D., engaged in a civil discussion on the role of disagreement and civil dialogue in American politics and civic culture as part of a lecture series presented by the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University.

The lecture series examines free speech, how we use that right, how we protect it and other related topics.
