Experience ‘Life at the Extremes’ in extraordinary locales

Buckle your virtual seat belt this summer as Arizona PBS takes you to some of the most remarkable destinations around the world in this year’s PBS Summer of Adventure.

On Wednesdays at 7 p.m., beginning July 11, venture to some of the world’s most remote locations in “Earth’s Natural Wonders: Life at the Extremes.” Earth’s natural wonders are places where nature has carved on such a scale that it defies belief. For human beings, survival within these extraordinary places can pose great challenges. Yet human ingenuity makes it possible.

Earth’s Natural Wonders are among the most extreme places to live on the planet. From soaring mountains to deep jungles, and frozen polar worlds, human beings need bravery and ingenuity to survive within them.

In some of the world’s most extraordinary natural wonders, it is wildlife that holds the key to survival for the people who live there. But animals can be our foes, as well as our friends.
