Wellness your way: Resources for National Wellness Month
Aug. 13
August is National Wellness Month, and it is a time to practice self-care, healthy habits and finding balance in your everyday life.
Wellness can look different for everyone, but its benefits are universal. Whether you’re a parent, student, educator or simply just need extra time for yourself, let this month be your reminder to prioritize your well-being.
Below, discover some ideas and resources to jumpstart your wellness journey:
• From morning routines to meditation: Practice mindfulness. Discover tools and resources to support mindfulness for both yourself and little ones, while emphasizing the connection between mental health, physical well-being and creative expression.
• For parents and educators: Workshops that support you. Experience interactive workshops offering professional development and resources from art therapy to strengthening family frameworks.
• Get outside: Your personal “Trail Mix’d” checklist. Wellness doesn’t always mean staying inside and putting on a face mask. For those who love the outdoors, check out the “Trail Mix’d” hiking checklist to keep track of all the great places highlighted on past seasons.
• Fuel up: Explore “Check, Please! Arizona” favorites. From comfort meals to award-winning chefs, “Check, Please! Arizona” features restaurants across the state. Craving some fresh seafood or authentic Mexican? We’ve got a list for you!
• Cozy up with a comfort show: From drama to documentaries, Arizona PBS has it all. Grab some popcorn, a fuzzy blanket and snuggle up with your fur babies to watch your favorite shows available on air on Arizona PBS and on Arizona PBS Passport.
