Show Low to receive new channel number, more powerful Arizona PBS signal

Soon, residents of Show Low, Arizona, will be able to watch Arizona PBS on a new channel with a more powerful signal. We will be moving from channel 3 to channel 35.

As a trusted community resource for nearly 65 years, our station fosters lifelong learning through quality programming, in-depth news coverage and critical educational outreach services.

In our ongoing efforts to be that community resource, we are upgrading our power in Show Low from 300 watts to 1200 watts and changing the antenna to a true omni-directional antenna, meaning residents should see a more clear signal with better uptime.

The project is scheduled to start on December 15, but the set up for the work on the tower will start as early as this week. The project upgrade is estimated to take seven to 10 days.

Viewers may experience temporary outages during the upgrade, but this is temporary and will be resolved when the project is complete. Viewers will need to do a channel scan to find the new channel when the project is complete.

Residents may notice other changes, for example, our callsign will change from K03FB-D to K35PR-D, but rest assured you will still be receiving the same local programming you’ve come to enjoy and rely on.
