The United States is quickly approaching a historic milestone of 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This milestone represents over two centuries of innovation and growth, while also representing the shifts and struggles our nation has met and overcome.

This is a great time to reflect on America’s history and celebrate its achievements. Arizona PBS is joining the celebration by bringing you programming that educates and sparks conversation about our nation.

There are so many ways to prepare for and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, including hosting screenings of America 250 programming and contributing to events in your community.

What better way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday than with an epic potluck? Our friends at “America’s Test Kitchen” have joined forces with America’s Potluck, a nationwide initiative led by state commissions across all 50 states to host small gatherings across the country on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
