Featuring career-spanning archival footage of the undisputed queen of country music, the film reveals the spirit, soul and hard work of an artist who has inspired countless others.

The film includes interviews with Jane Fonda, Mac Davis and Lily Tomlin.

A songwriter, storyteller and philanthropist, Dolly Parton, who died on August 25, 2026, at the age of 80, is one of the most beloved entertainers this country has ever known.

Across seven decades, she gave us music, laughter and an unmatched generosity of spirit that made millions feel like family, whether through her songs, her screen roles or her tireless work supporting literacy and community through the Dollywood Foundation.

In her honor, we’re highlighting programming that celebrates her extraordinary life and legacy, including “Country Music,” a film by Ken Burns.

We hope these titles offer a meaningful way to celebrate the woman who taught us all to let our light shine.
