Catalyst: The science of Spider-Man’s webs

The thrill of climbing higher and higher is often entrusted to the strength of a climber’s gear. But what if a person could have as much faith in their climbing rope as a spider has in its web? A team at ASU’s School of Molecular Science is finding the answer by studying spider silk.
