Celebrate Arizona Gives Day by donating to local charities

More from this show

Once a year, on April 2, Arizona residents come together to raise money for local nonprofits across the state.

Established six years ago, the one-day, online fundraising effort known as Arizona Gives Day. Donations can be made online during the 24-hour period and benefit hundreds of local nonprofits.

Kristen Merrifield, CEO of Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits, joins us on “Arizona Horizon” to discuss the donation drive and bring much-needed attention to smaller organizations.
