Dogs and Cancer Vaccine Research: A Catalyst Special

More from this show

Close to 50-percent of pet dogs will at one point be diagnosed with cancer. That compares with a nearly 40-percent rate of diagnosis for men and woman. The most recent episode of Catalyst on AZ PBS looks at promising new research into how curing cancers in dogs might help find cures for cancer in humans. Along with the comfort and love we receive from dogs, we also experience the same pain when we lose them. Just like humans, we can lose dogs to cancer. We take a look into how successful cancer therapy might be for humans if it works on dogs, and vice versa.
