Arizona school counselor to student ratio worst in nation

Arizona’s student to counselor ratio is the worst in the nation, with an average of 905 students for every counselor in our state. The national average is 455 to one. We talk to Janine Menard, a school counselor at Pueblo del Sol K-8 school in Phoenix and head of the Arizona School Counselors Association, about Arizona’s ratio and the role of counselors in issues like school shootings, with the most recent occurring  in Colorado.
