Arizona death penalty case before the U.S. Supreme Court

More from this show

The U.S. Supreme Court has taken up the Arizona death penalty case of James Erin McKinney, who was convicted of murdering Christine Mertens in her Chandler home and Jim McClain days later. McKinney got the death sentence in 1993, and the case before the justices will determine whether rulings by the high court since then that made changes in factors determining sentencing should be applied to McKinney and other death row inmates. We’ll get an analysis from Tim Eckstein, an attorney from Osborn Maledon.
