Appointing instead of electing Corporation Commissioners

An idea is being talked about at the state capitol to appoint instead of elect Arizona’s Corporation Commissioners. Although the idea would require a vote of the people to change and is not likely to be on the ballot, the idea is being discussed. We’ll hear more about the rationale behind the proposal from Constantin Querard of the political consulting firm Grassroot Partners.
