Phoenix Chorale to perform Mozart’s ‘Requiem’

More from this show

The Phoenix Chorale will be putting on a very special performance at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

The performance will be Mozart’s “Requiem” paired with Christopher Tin’s “The Lost Birds.”

The Requiem is one of the most famous choral works ever composed and has been seen as Mozart’s final struggle as he neared death and grappled with increasing debt.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the film “Amadeus,” which so memorably dramatized the Requiem’s writing process.

Christopher Gabbitas, Artistic Director of Phoenix Chorale, joined Arizona Horizon to tell us more.
