Arizona Attorney General seeks immediate takeover of assisted living facility

More from this show

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is seeking an immediate take over of the assisted living facility Heritage Village in Mesa. Caitlin McGlade, Investigative Data Reporter at “The Arizona Republic,” joined us with details.

A lawsuit alleges that the owners, the Madison Realty Company, endangered adults and committed consumer fraud. While the lawsuit is pending, Mayes will seek to remove the current owners from control.

If found guilty, the Madison Realty Company will have to sell Heritage Village and other facilities.

Mayes hopes to keep residents in their homes and plans to ensure they receive quality care.
