Water research; ASU medical school; Smiles 4 sick children

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” Dave White, director of ASU’s Global Institute of Sustainability & Innovation, discussed why the conservation of the Colorado River Basin alone may fall short and the critical shift that’s needed to achieve water security in the future.

Also, Elizabeth Baker, associate dean of medical education and Heather Clark, senior associate dean for engineering integration, both at ASU, discussed the laying of foundation of a 175,000-square-foot medical school. When completed, the building is expected to train students by integrating medicine and engineering.

Finally, we spoke with Brian Billideau, founder of Smiles 4 Sick Children, about his journey in growing and maintaining the charity he founded to honor the memory of young girl who passed away too early.
