Pavlo: Live in Kastoria

Airs Sunday, June 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Join the Mediterranean guitarist as he returns to Greece for a spectacular mountaintop concert. Pavlo’s music — a blend of Greek, flamenco, Latin and Balkan flavors wrapped in contemporary pop — has thrilled audiences throughout the US and Canada, where he was named Touring Artist of the Year. He has been nominated for several Juno Awards for his unique world guitar music, has performed for Prince Charles, and was the headline artist at the World Music stage at the closing of the Pan American Games in Toronto.

For the international recording artist, Kastoria, Greece, is a return to the birthplace of his parents. This concert features the guitarist’s greatest hits, including “Cafe Kastoria” and “Santorini Sunset” as well as beloved classics “Never On Sunday,” Gordon Lightfoot’s “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Zorba” and “Acropolis Adieu.” Pavlo is joined onstage by guest stars G. Pinto and Remigio Pereira, formerly of The Tenors, who sings and performs on guitar along with Pavlo and his band.
