‘The Gene’ unveils the personal stories behind the human genome

Powerful personal stories and stunning breakthroughs reveal the historical search for the human genome and the promise of modern research in “The Gene: Intimate History.” This two-part series comes to Arizona PBS on April 7 and 14 at 7 p.m.

Episode one reveals a fascinating history of the human genome and weaves together science and personal stories. Patients with rare genetic diseases and their doctors seek to discover cures, often in a race against time. Watch online.
