The Parlor: Beauty parlor turned pizzeria

More from this show

This refurbished beauty parlor strives to create a homey, familiar environment that doubles as an experience with it’s salon themed decor.

The Parlor is a Phoenix pizzeria that heavily emphasizes its seasonal menu, always prioritizing the freshest ingredients and crafting intricate Italian dishes.

“We’re known for our food, our ambiance, our hospitality,” owner Aric Mei said, additionally highlighting the restaurant’s “big, beautiful American-made wood-burning oven.”

The wood-fired pizzas are complemented by the menus selection of exquisite handmade pastas, fresh salads and rich desserts.

“Check, Please! Arizona” guests thoroughly enjoyed sampling the different pizzas, and Sami praised the cheese-to-sauce ratio on each slice creating a perfect balance.

Guest Gloria Hills loved the classic margarita pizza, saying she had “more than enough to take home.”

The fresh produce was also a highlight, from the beet salad to the green olives that can be hard to come by in Arizona.

Guests also highly recommended the tiramisu, and guest Sarah Sanders praised the banana trifle, describing it as “sublime.”

The Parlor’s ambiance is widely known, with its methodically designed layout that pays tribute to the building’s history as a beauty salon.

“It feels very homey,” Sanders said. “There’s a lot of really neat nods to salon decor.”

Sanders’ pro tip: Watch the pizzas being made right at the bar to add to your experience.
