Breakdancing is coming to the Olympics

More from this show

Breakdancing will be a part of the summer Olympics, starting with the 2024 games in Paris. It’s a huge win for a dance form that originated on the streets of New York City. The Art in the 48 team visit a dance studio in Mesa to discuss the win. The owner talks about his time on the streets of New York. He says that it was a way for people with low incomes to have an escape. His studio, Jukebox Dance Studio, is a way for people in Arizona to be a part of the breakdancing community.
