Federal Reserve raises interest rates; SNAP benefit cuts; New homeowners association laws in Arizona

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” Dale Rogers, a professor at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business, sat down to discuss how the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates in an attempt to combat inflation. Due to the war in Iran, inflation has driven oil, gasoline and diesel prices to record highs.

We also hear from Camryn Sanchez, a field correspondent for KJZZ,  to learn more about how nearly half a million Arizonans failed to receive SNAP benefits. An investigation into the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) shows that out of all calls for eligibility interviews, only 13% of interviews were completed.

Finally,  Alexis Glascock, an attorney at Fennemore, talks about New laws involving Arizona homeowners associations took effect this week. The laws aim to provide more protections for homeowners against strict HOA regulations.
