America’s Independence Day celebration kicks off our country’s 242nd birthday with an all-star musical extravaganza live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol for the 38th annual broadcast of “A Capitol Fourth” on Arizona PBS Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at 7 p.m. and again at 8:30 p.m.

“A Capitol Fourth” welcomes back Emmy Award-nominated actor and producer John Stamos as your host. Enjoy all-star musical performances by Jimmy Buffett with the Broadway cast of Escape to Margaritaville, The Beach Boys and The Temptations.

The concert will also feature a special tribute to The Beach Boys, who will be honored as the fifth-ever recipients of “A Capitol Fourth”‘s National Artistic Achievement Award. Past honorees are Gloria Estefan, Stevie Wonder, Reba McEntire and John Williams.

The concert will pay special tribute to our men and women in uniform by soprano superstar Renée Fleming, who will perform “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” The inspiring moment will be dedicated to our troops serving around the world, their families and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice: fighting for our freedom.

Additional performances include Pentatonix, Luke Combs, Lauren Alaina, CeCe Winans, Joshua Bell and the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Jack Everly.
