National HIV Testing Day

More from this show

June 27 is National HIV Testing Day. Phoenix is among a handful of cities supporting the “90/90/90” initiative — 90 percent of people know their HIV status; 90 percent of those HIV positive are getting antiretroviral therapy and 90 percent are living with total suppression. It’s part of a larger five-year plan to end Arizona’s HIV epidemic. Phoenix City Councilman Daniel Valenzuela and Kit Kloecki, director of programs at Aunt Rita’s Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating HIV, will tell us more about the city’s effort to help end AIDS.
