Nike Betsy Ross shoe controversy

More from this show

Nike and Colin Kaepernick are in another shoe controversy, with the shoemaker cancelling the release of a new shoe with a Betsy Ross flag on it after Kaepernick said the flag was co-opted by racist groups and was associated with slavery. That move led Arizona Governor Doug Ducey to rescind $1 million in state incentives for a new Nike plant in Goodyear. We talk about the controversy and what it might mean for Ducey’s political future with Marcus Dell’Artino, a partner at First Strategic Communications and Public Affairs and Jason Barraza, a director with the political consulting firm Veridus.
