Gender equity in pay and corporate boards

More from this show

A 2019 report by the salary web site Payscale found that women still earn just 79 cents for every dollar made by men. Also, fewer than 20% of corporate board seats are held by women. In Arizona, just 19 companies have reached the 20% level of women making up their corporate boards. On Nov. 21, the 2020 Women on Boards, a national campaign dedicated to increasing the percentage of women on corporate boards to 20% by 2020, will host a National Day of Conversation on Board Diversity with day-long events in 30 cities nationwide. We’re joined by Kathleen Duffy, Phoenix co-chair of the 2020 Women on Boards and owner of Duffy Group Inc., a Phoenix-based global recruitment firm. Jennifer Leuer, CEO of CyberScout, and Sissy Shank, CEO of Chas Roberts Air Conditioning and Plumbing, also joins the conversation about increasing equity among women.
