Arizona COVID-19 cases lead country

More from this show

Arizona has led the country with the highest weekly average of COVID-19 cases for the last month. We spoke to former Arizona State Health Director Will Humble to discuss why cases have been on the rise across the state.

Humble says the reason for the rise is very simple, claiming that the policy decisions made following the stay at home order were poor. According to Humble, more COVID-19 testing is needed to slow down the virus. In recent weeks, Arizona State University has come out with a saliva test which some are saying is very easy and successful.

Humble is hopeful that the face cover requirement will have an impact on the state. But he is aware that it may not be enough to flatten the curve completely.
